(Conflict minerals procurement policy)
(1)必须履行社会环境责任;
(2)确保产品不使用来自刚果金及其周围的国家和地区的“冲突矿产”;
Conflict minerals procurement policy
RBA (formerly EICC) points out that some metal minerals have become the main source of income for armed rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in Africa, which are used to trade arms, continue the bloody conflict between them and the government, and ravage the local civilian population, and have thus triggered international controversy. As a global citizen, Xinquan declares and promises not to accept the use of metals from conflict mines. At the same time, all suppliers of Xinquan are also required to comply with them.
(1) Must fulfil its social and environmental responsibilities.
(2) Ensure that products do not use ‘conflict minerals’ from the DRC and neighbouring countries and regions.
(3) Trace the source of gold, tantalum, tin, tungsten, cobalt and mica contained in all products, and all suppliers use the 3TG Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) / Cobalt and Mica Reporting Template (EMRT) Responsible Minerals Questionnaire, which requires suppliers to investigate and identify the following on a step-by-step basis smelters.
(4) Communicate this requirement to your downstream suppliers.
Conflict metals: Minerals from conflict mines in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, such as columbite-tantalite, cassiterite, wolframite and gold. These minerals are refined into tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W) (referred to as the three T minerals), cobalt (Cobalt), mica (Mica), and gold (Au), which are used in electronics and other products. Xinquan is aware of its responsibilities and is making efforts at different levels to protect human rights.
Xinquan is committed to safeguarding the health, safety and human rights of conflict miners. At the same time, it is incumbent upon us to hold our suppliers to higher social, environmental, and human rights standards.
